  35mm camera and
  5,000 watt spot
  light from Para-
  mount Studio.  (You
  never take Dr J with
  you on studio
  tours.)
  At home, Dr J's
  study looks like a
  movie set.  That's
  because he col-
  lects old movie
  equipment and
  props.  Here is a
  better picture.
  (right)  A Brute
  Arc light (27,000
  watts).  He only turns
  it on for special
  occasions.

Now he
has a nice
office suite in
Claremont with
an adjoining
 library (with
tons of books on
psychology - and
a few detective
novels hidden
beyond the books
by Freud and James)

Professional interests
  include resistance to
  change, confusion, conscious-
ness, the use of movies in
therapy  (check link) and the classroom, the 1940s, and the
psychological impact of
  victimization.

Schmoozing
  in Hollywood.

That almost depends on what day and what hour
you ask that question.  Dr Johnson is a part time
instructor at Cal Poly Pomona, a clinical psychologist
practicing in Claremont, and a guy with a lot of interests.
  Dr J is working
  on a biography
  of Donald Duck
Dr J wasn't always a Ph.D. In his teens
and 20's he worked in a warehouse.
